Looks like eusecwest will be hosting a presentation on a proof of concept IOS rootkit called Das ios rootkit.
Add this to Cisco’s AXP virtual machine architecture and things get a bit more interesting over the long term. Worms are generally considered dead boring and trivial as focus has been on clients and botnets recently. Interesting ownage could be done with IOS if anyone has the balls to try it.
I’ve not been to a secwest conference- hopefully they post the slides or video.
